The child's form is based on a photograph taken by Robert Doisneau in Paris in the 1945.

These works are part of my third solo painting exhibition titled "The Child that lives within ourselves", which took place in the Municipal Gallery of Kallithea "Sophia Laskaridou" in December 2017 and deals with childhood concerns as well as the adult who remains always a child.

The design in the backround is an accurate large scale reproduction of an A3 drawing of a five year old boy, student of mine in Bangladesh, created in January 2017. The children were asked to do landscape drawing from life. And this highly imaginative child placed everything in revesre without neglecting to show his feelings due his struggling life. A western girl observes ecstatic. The sun could be a portal or a mirror that does not always say the truth.

The large sun could be the magic mirror of wonders in a design full of twists between earth and sky.
